Michael Hobley, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Researcher @ Caltech
ML Product Owner @ Noonien
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Perona Lab at
Caltech working in AI for ecology.
I am also the founder of Noonien, a Machine Learning consultancy engineering custom solutions for businesses and
individuals.
I am a recent DPhil graduate in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from the
Active Vision Laboratory group at the Engineering
Science department of the University of Oxford.
My research interests and experience are broad, spanning: computer vision for ecology, weakly-supervised computer
vision, active acoustics, low-SNR vision, large-scale data understanding, and engineering pipeline acceleration.
